Beaumont Youth Council Report Out and City Council Direction

Approval of all Ordinances and Resolutions to be read by title only.

Public hearing and consideration of proposed amendments to Beaumont Municipal Code Chapter 17.02 “Administration and Enforcement”, more specifically Chapter 17.02.070 “Plot Plans”.

  • Recommended Action:

    Hold a Public Hearing; and,

    Waive the first full reading and approve by title only, “An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Beaumont, California, amending Chapter 17.02 ‘Administration and Enforcement’, Section 17.02.030 Table 17.02-1 and Section 17.02.070, of the Beaumont Municipal Code”.

Approval of Resolution to amend the five-year FY 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).

  • Recommended Action:

    Hold a Public Hearing; and

    Waive the full reading and adopt by title only, “A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Beaumont Amending the Five-Year Capital Improvement Plan for FY 2025-2029”.

  • Recommended Action:

Tri Pointe Homes had previously requested an appeal of the City Manager’s Notice of Finding Under Development Agreement dated August 17, 2004.

  • Recommended Action:

    Close the public hearing with no discussion.

Approval of all Ordinances and Resolutions to be read by title only.

To request approval for the sponsorship packet that outlines opportunities, benefits, and ways businesses, organizations, and individuals can sponsor city programs and events.

  • Recommended Action:

    Adopt the sponsorship packet and direct staff to begin marketing.

Approval of Deductive Change Order No. 1 to Contract with Weka, Inc. in the Amount of $(87,182.29), Amendment No. 1 to PSA with Webb Associates, and Notice of Completion (NOC) for the Mesa Lift Station 16” Force Main Project (Project).

  • Recommended Action:

    Approve Change Order No. 1 to the contract with Weka Inc. for the Mesa Lift Station 16” Force Main Project in the deductive amount of $(87,182.29), approve Amendment No. 1 to the PSA for Webb Associates in an amount not to exceed of $12,500.00, and authorize the Mayor to execute a Notice of Completion for the Mesa Lift Station 16” Force Main Project.

Approve the requisition to complete the final payment for the Motorola Police Department radios in the amount of $191,072.96.

  • Recommended Action:

    Approve the requisition to make the final lease payment to Motorola for the CIP PS-04 Police Radio Project in the amount of $191,072.96.

To improve fleet acquisition and outfitting efficiency by approving the utilization of Enterprise Fleet Management’s services.

  • Recommended Action:

    Approve the service agreements with Enterprise Fleet Management for procuring, leasing, outfitting, and retiring fleet vehicles;

    Authorize the City Manager to sign the Government Credit Application; and

    Authorize City staff the ability to purchase and resale vehicles through Enterprise.

Mayoral appointment of two Council Members to attend the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) annual conference.

  • Recommended Action:

    Mayoral appointment of two Council Members to attend the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) annual conference.

Appointment of two Council Members to establish an ad-hoc committee with the City of Banning to discuss animal control services.

  • Recommended Action:

    Appointment of two Council Members to the Animal Control Ad Hoc Committee with the City of Banning.

Provide staff with direction on how to proceed with sidewalk repair along Beaumont Avenue, from Sixth Street to Eighth Street.

  • Recommended Action:

    Provide direction on repairing the sidewalk along Beaumont Avenue, from Sixth Street to Eight Street.

Adopting the resolution to waive the Development Impact Fees (DIF) for the Beaumont Library District to support their planned expansion of an existing structure (NEWC2024-0005).

  • Recommended Action:

    Waive the full reading and adopt by title only, “A Resolution of The City of Beaumont Authorizing The Waiver of Development Impact Fees (DIF) For The Beaumont Library District Expansion Project”.

Annual review and adoption of the City’s legislative platform and policies.

  • Recommended Action:

    Staff recommends City Council approve the 2025 Legislative Platform as presented.
